This four-book Michael Connelly bundle brings together three Harry Bosch investigations and the first Mickey Haller legal thriller.
In The Black Echo, Bosch investigates a death that connects with his own past as a Vietnam tunnel soldier. Angels Flight places him at the centre of an explosive investigation involving a murdered civil-rights lawyer and possible corruption within the LAPD. In The Overlook, the public murder of a physicist develops into a case involving dangerous radioactive material and federal investigators.
The Lincoln Lawyer introduces criminal defence attorney Mickey Haller, who conducts much of his business from the back seat of his Lincoln. When a wealthy client presents what appears to be a straightforward case, Haller begins to suspect that the truth is considerably darker.
A strong introductory collection for readers who enjoy tightly plotted crime fiction, courtroom drama and Los Angeles police procedurals. The books belong to the wider Bosch–Haller universe but can each be read as a standalone novel.
